Penino Zelen is produced using the Charmat process, has a varietally distinctive aroma and a sweeter, milder taste. It is an ideal aperitif or companion to lighter starters.
Smell: Dried apples, citrus peel, a few herbs.
Taste: On first impression, sweeter but soft, with a lively acidity. There is a mineral taste. The finish is accompanied by a citrus aroma typical of the Zelen variety.
Combination with food: It is mainly drunk as an aperitif. It also goes well with pasta with light sauces, cold starters or seafood dishes.
